JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the design, build, testing, and roll-out of the electronic health record applications and PACS system for Cardiovascular Services. Provides day-to-day operations of the applications. Collaborates with leadership to ensure the application modules align with the functional need of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned. Assigned areas include Cardiovascular I.T. System, CS PACS, and increasing volume of CV modalities requiring I.T. integration.
- Manages the overall operations in accordance with hospital administered policies, departmental standards, and governmental regulations, providing the highest level of customer service.
- Provides administrative and financial accountability for planning, managing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions, and activities, delegating authority, as necessary. Develops and aligns goals with the organization’s strategic plans.
- Oversees various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other related activities.
- Utilizes performance management expertise to facilitate the achievement of department goals. Holds staff accountable for adherence to organizational and departmental policies.
- Prepares detailed presentation of systems and applications designs, pricing, and analysis for day-to-day operations as well as projects and expansion.
- Oversees vendor relationships.
- Evaluates existing systems, identify deficiencies, and make performance recommendations.
- Performs analysis and capacity planning and assessments for organizational systems and applications to meet corporate objectives.
- Participates in ongoing support and maintenance of existing systems and applications. Perform after-hours maintenance as required.
- Creates and maintains detailed project plans, scope of work, and technical documentation within assigned areas.
- Provides research, assessment, and implementation of new technologies, hardware, and software to advance the applications and services rendered by the organization.
- Develops and recommends strategies from growth, security, and functional enhancements.
- Serves as the first line of escalation for all identified issues within assigned area.
- Develops and manages to a set of meaningful metrics that demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the team on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Responsible for coordinating aspects of planning, system testing, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluations of assigned systems.
- Manages the support resources and processes for assigned applications to ensure that software/interface issues are addressed on a timely basis and that all enhancements and new release are implemented based upon priority and vendor support windows.
- Provides on-call coverage as deemed appropriate by departmental leadership.
- Participates in Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Technology, or related field. Prefer a Masters Degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT or Healthcare experience in assigned area required. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have experience building and maintaining CVIS systems prefer experience with Syngo Dynamics, Syngo Vibe IBM PACS, Epiphany and/or Epic Cupid.
- Certification: Epic Cupid certification(s)/accreditation(s) and successful third-party vendor course completion for assigned scope of responsibilities must be successfully obtained. If you fail to obtain your certification(s)/accreditation(s) within the allowed time frame or do not maintain the appropriate certification(s)/accreditation(s) for your position, you will have 30 days to successfully secure another position within NCH; otherwise, your employment with NCH will be terminated.
