JOB SUMMARY
The Massage Therapist will provide massage services to the members of the Wellness Center(s) by appointment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Provides clients with the type of massage therapy which they require.
· Perform all massage therapy sessions with a high degree of quality, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
· Provide and maintain a clean and safe massage environment.
· Maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with peers, supervisors, clients and management.
· Accepts personal responsibility for professional growth and accountability.
· Treats all clients with respect and in a professional manner.
· Accepts personal responsibility for maintaining knowledge in respective field.
· Understands NCH and departmental procedures and legal requirements of releasing information.
· Understands the importance of client’s files and documentation contained therein.
· Demonstrates working knowledge of the phone system including voicemail.
· Demonstrates basic computer knowledge as it relates to scheduling, data entry, and client based information.
· Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills through verbal and non-verbal communication with clients, peers, and other staff.
· Provides feedback regarding problem solving and conflict resolution, and utilizes proper chain-of-command to assist.
· Provides prompt and accurate information to facilitate payment for services provided.
· Actively assists and supports departmental activities to ensure that operational and salary expenses are equal to or less than approved budget.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or GED required.
·Graduate from an accredited program in massage therapy required.
·Licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of Florida.
· CPR, AED certification required upon hire. Within 90 days must complete CPR, AED, and First Aid through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
·6 months of experience in massage therapy preferred.
·Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data.
