JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Finance Acute Care is responsible for managing the general financial analysis, operational analysis, financial control, budgeting, and cost accounting for the healthcare system. The Manager Finance Acute Care will demonstrate a track record of accomplishment in financial operations, accounting, forecasting and analysis within an acute care setting. The Manager Finance Acute Care is responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluation of their staff and works to directly support managers and senior administration within Acute Care as well as the management and senior administrative team within NCH.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

· Partners with senior leader to provide financial decision support to the organization.

· Responsible for the development and monitoring of annual operating and capital forecasts for the hospitals.

· Responsible for monthly cost accounting for the healthcare system.

· Responsible for the monthly variance review.

· Developing and defining reports for the healthcare system.

· Responsible for preparation and maintenance of the bi-weekly labor tool.

· Prepares financial analysis on any new product line and lease vs. buy models.

· Partners with leaders to assure attainment of financial goals.

· Responsible for the preparation of the AHA, ACHA, NICA surveys.

· Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    · Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

    · Minimum 5 years’ experience in acute care accounting, finance, or related field OR Master’s Degree with 3 years’ experience in acute care accounting, finance, or related field required.

    · Experience with Kronos and EPSI.

    · Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    · Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
