JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Strategic Learning and Organizational Development is responsible for strategic and operational organizational development (OD) initiatives with emphasis on professional growth and development, leadership development and change initiatives for the Naples Comprehensive Healthcare. The Manager of Strategic Learning and Organizational Development will be working with the established vision and strategies to create, implement and administer training and programming that is aligned with priorities to optimize individual, team and organizational performance and effectiveness. This role will work collaboratively with Human Resources (HR), Center for Learning & Innovation (CFLI) and NCH Leadership to ensure that all employees are prepared to favorably impact patient and employee engagement, collaboration, and management of change in support of the organizations strategic and operational plans across NCH. The Manager of Strategic Learning and Organizational Development will manage OD operations and develop an internal team that partners with subject matter experts from internal and external departments and businesses. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.

· To create, implement and administer training and programming for the development of the NCH Culture initiatives, ensuring that OD initiatives are properly integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals.

· To create and implement OD and adult learning strategies, processes and programs that support a high performing organization. To include initiatives that incorporate NCH values, culture, continuous improvement, professional growth and diversity.

· Identify and manage opportunities for improvement through various venues such as internal feedback and process/system reviews to understand barriers and possible solutions. Conduct external research into best practice and new ideas.

· Partners with colleagues to identify internal or external resources to effectively design and implement consistent learning programs and facilitation materials that align with NCH vision, mission and values.

· Develops instructional design plans for e-Learning programs to include project scope, learning needs assessments, learning objectives, design structure, validation of content, and defined learning outcomes.

· Strategic Development: Lead and manage organizational development initiatives focused on professional growth, employee development, and change management to enhance individual and team performance in alignment with NCH’s strategic goals.

· Instructional Design and Program Implementation: Design, implement, and administer comprehensive training programs and e-Learning solutions, utilizing strong instructional design principles to promote the NCH culture, incorporate continuous improvement practices, and address diverse learner needs effectively.

· Collaboration and Consultation: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including HR and subject matter experts, to identify learning requirements and develop instructional materials, ensuring the effectiveness and engagement of training initiatives through ongoing evaluation and feedback mechanisms.

· Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of development programs, conducting needs assessments to evaluate skills against business objectives, and implementing solutions to close identified gaps while applying best practices in instructional design.

· Collaborates with Professional Development Specialists/SME’s to analyze content, determine target audience, develop and format instructional material and validate appropriateness of learner objectives and outcomes.

· Manage, design and facilitate in-house training events and off campus retreats as required.

· Collaborates with Marketing and Business Development leaders to ensure effective communication.

· Consults with leaders to identify specific learning needs and interventions to provide solutions and resources that positively impact results.

· Identify when learning should be Business specific versus Enterprise level learning.

    · Manage the needs assessment for organizational and leadership development to evaluate current skills against business objectives and develop programs to close gaps. Develops key performance indicators (KPI’s) that measure and monitor the effectiveness of those development efforts.

      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

      · Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred in related subject matter (Human Resource Management/Development; Leadership Development; I/O Psychology; Clinical; Organizational Effectiveness) or equivalent.

      · Minimum of 3 years’ experience in education and instructional design with an emphasis on the development of e-Learning programs.

      · Minimum of 3 years (in a healthcare setting preferred), consulting with management level employees. Prior experience building and developing leadership training/curriculum.

      · Expertise with eLearning design software (Articulate Story Line - preferred).

      · Consulting and influencing skills to bring multiple stakeholders to agreement and advocacy.

      · Understanding of supporting technology to drive efficient and effective talent management processes.

      · Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills with proven success delivering multiple projects at once.

      · Ability to assume role as project lead.

      · Must be a positive change agent and consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to current environment.

      · Strong learning orientation and mindset.

      · Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, including establishing and tracking key metrics to determine overall effectiveness.

      · Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills.

        · Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
