Newly Licensed Nurse Stipend Program (In-Patient):
NCH is excited to announce a new program for newly licensed, inpatient, Registered Nurses (RNs).
All full and part-time, new and existing inpatient RNs whose initial issue license date is less than four years, will receive a $3.00 Newly Licensed Nurse Stipend. This stipend will be paid on all hours.
New Per Diem Program:
We are changing our per diem program! The historic flex differentials associated with being in the per diem pool in lieu of benefits, are going away. We will be shifting how our per diem staff are scheduled and assigned in multiple phases.
All per diems, across the system will now be eligible an additional 20% per diem differential, this differential will be paid to the maximum of your position’s pay range. This 20% differential will be paid on all hours, shift and weekend differentials still apply.
The per diem program is not benefit eligible, and while employees can participate in the 401(k) program, they will not be eligible for a 401(k) match.
Phase One Per Diem Pool will consist of all inpatient nursing department employees. Employees will no longer be home based and will be centralized and scheduled out of the staffing office based on need and competency.
To be eligible for the per diem program, employees must be available to work a minimum of twenty-four hours per twenty-eight-day schedule, two holidays (including one major winter holiday) and weekend shifts as needed.
Temporary Staffing Pool (TSP) Program:
The TSP program provides RNs, CNAs, EMTs and allied health the opportunity to work in temporary full-time or temporary part-time positions to cover staffing needs over 12, 24, or 36-week assignments while taking a consecutive 12-week break in scheduling annually.
TSPs employees are assigned to an internal staffing pool and work within any qualified clinical area based on staffing needs and the individual skills and competencies. Although the TSP program is not a benefit eligible position, the employees are paid at a flat and competitive rate and can participate in the 401(k) program.
