JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager Supply Chain oversees all aspects of Supply Chain & Support Services process improvement projects. Assists the Director of Supply Chain Services in the development, measurement, and evaluation of Supply Chain systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, clinical support, cost containment, and contract compliance. Supports the development and implementation of quality improvement interventions, reports and audits and assists in resolving deficiencies that impact compliance to regulatory and accreditation standards. Drives key quality improvement projects, working effectively in a matrix environment in order to receive needed data that reflects the overall quality and performance. Works closely with department leaders and key program managers and reports regularly to the Director of Supply Chain Services. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manages projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing progress of project.

· Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects on an ongoing basis to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and deadlines are met.

· Pursues methods to ensure receipt of relevant data for accurate trending of various Supply Chain initiatives.

· Analyzes key plan metrics to enable the development of sound and valid recommendations regarding the prioritization of supply chain support and service improvement initiatives.

· Works with Directors to convene various QI committees and work groups, set agenda to drive desired meeting outcomes (based on clinical support needs), and ensures proper recording of committee activities.

· Acts as knowledge expert for Supply Chain continuous quality improvement activities, educating staff of other functional areas regarding Supply Chain processes.

· Assists with efforts to secure successful Joint Commission accreditation.

· Supports efforts to submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual performance reports.

· Collects and analyzes data entry on relevant quality performance indicators.

· Works with the Supply Chain Site Managers to improve on site storeroom efficiency.

· Works with the OR Supply Chain Manager to develop industry leading surgical case support protocols, including refinement of OR supply rooms, preference cards, and vendor management.

· Analyzes OR procedural costs across service line and by provider with the goal of standardizing supply levels, maximizing contract compliance, and reducing waste.

· Assists in developing short range plans for overall area activities. Develops and oversees the implementation of quality improvement programs and strategies.

· Assists Chief Performance Improvement Officer with additional ad hoc projects as needed.

This position reports daily to the NCH Business Office in Naples, Florida.  This is not a remote position.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    · Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related health field with 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience required.

    ·Knowledgeable of current trends in Supply Chain Services.

    ·Knowledgeable of TJC and CMS regulatory requirements.

    ·Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

    ·Ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities.

    ·Ability to work effectively across departmental lines.

    ·Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities; ability to multi-task.

    ·Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
