JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Utility Systems of the Hospital (DNH or NNH), to include the Electrical System, HVAC System, Domestic Water, Medical Gasses, Plumbing, Tub System, Emergency Power, and Fire Alarm. The Mechanic is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of non-clinical equipment to include beds and stretchers. Additionally, the mechanic is responsible for the upkeep of the building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Assists in maintenance of Fire System.
· Maintains overhead paging.
· Maintain boiler.
· Maintains nurse call.
· Maintains tube system.
· Maintains medical gas.
· Lock out/tag out.
· Preventative maintenance.
· Maintains HVAC System.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of High School or GED required.
· Minimum of 6 months of related experience OR graduate from an HVAC/R Program required; 3 years of experience preferred in a building maintenance role.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
