JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator of Nursing Community Relations will be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public, community, and academic relations relative to the strategic direction and position Of the Organization and its leadership.

The Coordinator of Nursing Community relations will build relationships with community and academic partners to support the nursing and organizational mission. The goal is to advance the organization's position with relevant constituents, as well as to drive broader awareness of nursing and organizational goals, support the organization's reputation, and strengthen public, community, and academic partnerships to fulfil the mission of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Other duties may be assigned.

· Forges alliances with community partners in the public and private sectors to support organizational growth and strategy.

· Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forge strong partnerships that meet the healthcare needs of members of our community in accordance with the nursing and organizational missions.

· Develops and executes public relations initiatives, such as nursing promotional events, student outreach, and thought leadership strategies, using data to inform the strategies.

· Directs and manages academic relations in collaboration with Cener for Learning to support alignment and integration between entities. Develops, fosters, and promotes new opportunities for educational partnerships.

· Establishes, coordinates, and maintains nursing community advisory boards and participation.

· Recommends, develops, and implements short and long-range strategic plans for community relations integration and expansion.

· Builds and maintains relationships with community constituents.

· Provides insightful, informed and strategic communications counsel to stakeholders.

· Designs a metric strategy to track outcomes, impact, and effectiveness of partnership drivers for key stakeholders.

· Communicates an accurate image of the community partnerships to the public. Positively and actively represents collegial relationships in the community.

· Manages multiple workstreams and projects simultaneously.

· Provides strategic and operational analysis consistent with NCH overall goals and objectives, as well as implementation of the strategies. Participates in the planning, development process, and possesses a thorough understanding of organizational strategy.

· Acts as a liaison with the Center for Philanthropy and nursing community partnerships and relations.

· Works autonomously; possess excellent problem-solving skills and can complete assignments within timeframe given.

    · Works closely with nursing leadership and chief nurses to identify goals and priorities.

      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

      · Master's Degree in a related field required.

      · Graduation from an accredited program in nursing administration, health care administration, business administration or comparable preparation.

      · Minimum of 1 year of experience in related roles- community outreach, fund-raising, event planning, leadership, or coordinator capacity. Internship experience considered in lieu of professional experience.

      · Self-motivated to be organized, achieve high performance standards, and accept accountability for performance.

      · Experience balancing a dynamic workload with constantly changing priorities, deadlines, and project scope

      · Excellent analytical, motivational, strategic planning, organizational and communication skills. 

        · Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
