JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator Lab Processing oversees the Processing area. Responsibilities include scheduling and training of employees and managing all aspects of send out testing. The Coordinator Lab Processing resolves problems, audits requisitions, corrects errors and follows up with employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Oversees the send out area of Processing, including manual charge entry and problem resolution.
· Reconciles problem logs and follows up with clients and employees.
· Audits requisitions for quality assurance.
· Maintains the record keeping system for the department.
· Coordinates the scheduling and training of employees.
· Provides input to Phlebotomy & Processing Supervisor regarding performance for 90 day and annual staff competency review.
· Ensures the smooth operation of the department on a daily basis, distributing workload evenly and adequate levels of supplies.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· High School or GED required.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory processing.
· Knowledge of referral testing and laboratory specimen testing requirements.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
