JOB SUMMARY
The Central Distribution Warehouse Associate manages the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and delivery of supplies, records, equipment, and furniture for the NCH Healthcare system. Managing includes proper documentation, inventory management, labeling, retention, and destruction of supplies and records per established guidelines. Coverage of other NCH locations may be required on occasion as staffing requires.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Receives all deliveries to NBC and documents per system process and policy.
· Proficiency in automated supply storage systems and system ERP.
· Stores and manages inventory of supplies, records, equipment and furniture per system process and policy.
· Picks, packs, and schedules outbound deliveries per system process and policy.
· Insurers the proper distribution of records protecting patient and employee’s privacy rights.
· Provides pickup and delivery of items between NCH facilities as determined by system process and policy. This includes medical supplies, items to be stored for capital projects, surplus of medical equipment, and furniture. Includes organizing, evaluating, and disposal.
· Use of company provided mobile phone to send/receive calls and text messages.
· Reports mechanical problems with fleet vehicles and performs minor fleet repairs/maintenance when appropriate. Responsible for maintaining clean vehicles.
· Assists in maintaining a clean warehouse environment.
· Maintains current forklift, pallet jack, and other required warehouse equipment certification.
· Assists with disposal of surplus supplies and equipment per system process and policy.
· Communicates any issues or complaints to Manager in a timely fashion.
· Maintains training and competency as NCH Courier and NCH Distribution Associate.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of High Schol or GED required.
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment or inventory distribution.
· Must have a Florida driver’s license and successfully pass a DMV check.
· Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Able to drive a large box truck (non CDL).
· Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
