JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical expertise, knowledge and leadership for new care team members in coordinating staffing, work assignments and RHI clinical orientation. Serves as a mentor by role modeling professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness and standards of care. Assists the Clinical Director to develop, implement and helps monitor compliance to the cost centers’ operating budget and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist Director with labor management of staff as needed if clinical coordinator is unavailable.
· Develop cardiac specific materials and orientation plan for the new clinical staff.
· Assist the director with 90-day evaluations on new clinical staff.
· Assists the director to guide and direct the MA clinical trainer for needs of the clinical staff.
· Assist with interviews of clinical candidates for RHI
· Coordinate and lead epic builds for changes/innovations. Assist with new locations or provider builds along with RHI management team.
· Continue to work in a clinical role managing triage and rooming patients as staffing needs dictate.
· Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.
· Assists in development and management of par levels and expense budgets for equipment, supplies and materials.
· Manages emergency equipment and checks according to policy.
· Oversees ongoing improvement in patient satisfaction.
· Delegate’s authority and accountability for clinical practice and patient care decisions.
· Acts as a resource to clinical staff in assisting with unfamiliar procedures/treatments and technologies.
· Assumes a clinical assignment when staffing levels support the need for assistance.
· Demonstrates, promotes, and rewards exemplary leadership skills and contributions of the staff toward the achievement of organizational goals.
· Assists the director to define learning needs of the staff; i.e. arranging for unit needs assessment, in-services, and other educational programs.
· Coaches and provides immediate feedback to staff.
· Involves staff in the development, implementation, and monitoring of a unit-based PI plan.
· Trains, orients and meets with new hires (including planning, orientation, finding preceptors, and meeting with preceptors during probationary period.
· Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to identify potential barriers and variances to the plan of care and recommends actions to meet expected outcomes and coordinates patient care conferences, and clinical rounds on the unit.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of Bachelor’s Nursing degree with 3 years of experience in acute care with 2 years of experience with clinical specialty area required OR Associates Degree with 6 years of experience in acute care with 2 years of experience with clinical specialty area required.
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida.
· National certification by area of specialty preferred or within 2 years of hire.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
