The New Graduate Registered Nurse is a licensed nurse with less than one year of acute care experience. Upon hire, the New Graduate Registered Nurse is referred to as a Nurse Resident and is automatically enrolled into the Nurse Residency Program.

Seminars are led by Master’s prepared Nurse Educators and various subject matter experts from different disciplines within the healthcare system. Content is delivered via lecture, simulation, hands-on skills, role play, gamification and immersion room experiences. Each seminar consists of a different topic(s), including, but not limited to the following:

Nurse Residents hired onto a medical/surgical, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncologic, or observation unit will attend three days of nursing skills at the beginning of their onboarding process, which runs concurrently with the Nurse Residency Program and clinical time with a preceptor on a unit.
