JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor provides expertise, knowledge and leadership for department members in coordinating staffing, and work assignments. The Supervisor serves as a mentor by role modeling professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness and standards of care. Assists the Practice Manager to develop, implement and monitor compliance to the department operating budget and performance, supply inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.
· Assists in development and management of par levels and expense budgets for equipment, supplies and materials.
· Oversees ongoing improvement in patient satisfaction.
· Assumes a clerical assignment when staffing levels support the need for assistance.
· Demonstrates, promotes, and rewards exemplary leadership skills and contributions of the staff toward the achievement of organizational goals.
· Assists the Practice Manager to identify learning needs of the staff; i.e., arranging for departmental needs assessment, in-services, and other educational programs.
· Coaches and provides immediate feedback to staff.
· Assists Practice Manager with labor management of staff.
· Trains, orients and meets with new hires (including planning and orientation).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of High School or GED required.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in physician’s office setting required.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
