JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator Operating Room Supply Chain is a key liaison between Operating Room and Supply Chain Services. As such, the incumbent is responsible for assuring all supplies, equipment, and materials are available as required to support perioperative operational needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monitors perpetual and consigned inventory and replenishes as needed.
· Fosters positive relationship with clinical staff, maintaining healthy, bidirectional communication between Operating Room and Supply Chain.
· Backfills assigned responsibilities of Manager, OR Supply Chain as needed.
· Maintains a healthy relationship with vendors and SPD staff, helping assure supply and equipment availability.
· Develops and adjusts par levels of stock based on usage, volume, and staff feedback.
· Monitors supply requests for contract compliance. Requests NCH item numbers for products as needed.
· Maintains and updates computer supply module.
· Requisitions outside purchases through Supply Chain Services when needed.
· Processes bill only Purchase Orders when needed.
· Assists with periodic inventory of OR Supplies, including routine cycle counts of perpetual inventory.
· Restocks supplies in the department as needed, to include medication, IV fluids and biologicals with the exception of narcotics.
· Maintains the principles of confidentiality and HIPPA. Understands the legal/regulatory requirements related to the release of information. Able to use the information systems pertinent to the job.
· Maintains competency in and coordinates with site and central Supply Chain Distribution locations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of High School/GED.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare setting; perioperative or supply chain experience preferred.
· Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data.
